Project: Wireless Audience Interactive Keypads

Description

IBEX was commissioned by Cat And Mouse to design the software for their new wireless audience voting keypad, for use on TV game shows. The keypad is battery powered and uses a half duplex radio transceiver to communicate with a central show computer.

The keypads were designed to cover the requirements of many different shows and IBEX worked to a specification provided by Cat And Mouse.

Specifications

Design the complete keypad software

Implement the required communications protocol to allow communication between a master show computer and large numbers of slave keypads.

Provide a range of key press logging functions, from a single yes or no answer to multiple key entry with accurate time logging of each key press.

Provide processor controlled battery charging.
